Best Festivals in Phoenix

The Phoenix area would probably surprise many who haven’t visited before. It seems unlikely that there could be much excitement in a desert valley known for golf and snowbirds (elderly folk who head south during winter months). But Phoenix ALWAYS has something going on. In addition to Arizona’s local pride and various casinos and resorts, it’s a hot spot for festivals and fun of all sorts.

These festivals occur year-round and all of them are worth a visit if you’re in town, but there are a some that stand out from the crowd.

Scottsdale Arts Festival

Scottsdale is known for its galleries and Thursday night Art Walks, and this festival is a fun way for the whole family to see what it’s all about. Held annually in March, the festival features beautiful art, food, music, and even fun stuff for kids.

The Great American BBQ & Beer Festival

Held in March each year, this festival boasts a great lineup of music, food, and drinks. And, really, who can resist a little BBQ?

Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival

Of all of the festivals that made the list, this one is probably the most unusual and unexpected. However, a wide assortment of activities, shows, and vendors make it an unforgettable experience. Where else can you watch an ostrich race? Check it out every March.
